Aldapeta María Ikastetxea School
IDOM

The new Aldapeta María School building in San Sebastian by IDOM replaces the original 19th-century structure, utilizing geothermal energy and natural light to increase efficiency and shape the space. In tandem with the concrete, the natural wood siding by Parklex Prodema envelops parts of the outdoor facade with vertical slat placements that evoke wood formwork patterns and accentuate the rhythm between the materials. A hidden installation system allows for perfect integration, while the technical characteristics of the panels ensure longevity and minimal maintenance.
