In Bologna, the Parco Commerciale Borgo Mascarella sets a new standard for urban regeneration—where commercial architecture embraces contemporary design, sustainability, and context. The complex was developed by Sprint Gas with the vision of creating a commercial hub that will play a leading role in the city’s near future. Designed by Ing. Antonio Iascone, the project transforms a former artisanal area into a mixed-use environment for retail and office spaces, combining the renovation of three existing buildings with two new constructions. The new volumes stand out for their contemporary forms and lightweight materials, creating a dialogue with the site’s historical layout. The natural wood façade by Parklex Prodema brings warmth, texture, and visual coherence to the ensemble, balancing its urban character with a more organic and sustainable identity.
